BDA Bareilly team threatened to go to Golden Green Park Colony of Sobti Builders for building 35 double storey houses by getting the single story map approved. When a bulldozer ran on the first house, the builder’s staff deposited Rs 1 crore as compounding fee. However, despite this, the BDA sealed all the houses, saying that the records should be checked .
About 35 two-storey buildings have been built by Sobti Builders on the land near the river in the rear of Golden Green Park. According to BDA, the map of these buildings is of single storey but they have been made double story. The BDA Bareilly had issued a notice to the builder after getting it investigated but the notice was not replied to. After the re-issuance of notice by the BDA, the builder applied for compounding but the fee was not deposited.

BDA team led by JE Harish Chaudhary reached Golden Green Park Bareilly with a bulldozer. As soon as the bulldozer started breaking the grill of a building. Meanwhile, the accountant who arrived with the staff tried to stop the BDA team but he refused to stop the action. The accountant assured to deposit the compounding fee soon, but still, if the BDA team did not agree, then one crore rupees were deposited.
After this the BDA team sealed all the buildings and returned. BDA officials said that the buildings will be kept sealed till the complete records are checked. The team of BDA included JE Raman Kumar, SK Singh, Sunil Gupta etc. In this regard, attempts were made to contact builder Charanpal Singh Sobti several times over the phone but his number was found switched off.
Sobti Builders had passed a single storey map for the construction of 26 villas, but the investigation revealed that all the double stories have been made. The team had gone for action but the building owner has deposited one crore rupees. Thereafter the action was stopped.
